Guacamole and fried onion burger

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 rolls
  • 4 burger patties (beef or vegetarian or vegan)
  • 1 large avocado(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lime(s)
  • 1 small chili pepper(s)
  • 1 pack of fried onions
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 1 small bell pepper(s)
  • 1 small cucumber(s)
  • 1 handful of lettuce leaves, e.g. arugula
  • ketchup
  • Mustard
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Prepare the guacamole: Halve the avocado, scoop out the flesh with a spoon, and mash it with a fork in a small bowl. Squeeze the lime and mix the juice with the mashed avocado. Press the garlic cloves with a garlic press. Chop the washed chili to taste and add it to the guacamole. Season with salt and pepper. Prepare the burgers: Prepare the patties in a pan or on the grill. Wash the lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and bell pepper. Slice the cucumber and tomato, and cut the bell pepper into rings. Spread the bun halves with guacamole. Cover the bottom half with a thin layer of lettuce leaves. Place the patty on the lettuce bed, spread it with ketchup and mustard (use a thicker layer if you like), and sprinkle with fried onions. Arrange the lettuce leaves, tomato, bell pepper, and cucumber on the fried onions and place the top half of the bun on top.
