Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 burger bun XL, approx. 75 g
  • 120 g gyros meat, seasoned
  • 25 g sour cream
  • 5 g ketchup
  • 1 pinch garlic, chopped or squeezed
  • 1 tsp frozen mixed herbs
  • 1 ml Metaxa, optional
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 3 ring(s) onion(s)
  • 2 slice(s) tomato(s)

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Halve the burger buns and toast them slightly in a toaster to taste. Fry the meat in a non-stick pan until crispy. Mix the sour cream with ketchup, garlic, herbs, and Metaxa, if using. Season with salt and pepper. Top the bottom of the burger with lettuce and spread half of the sour cream sauce on top. Arrange the cooked meat on top. Top with onion rings and tomato slices, spoon the remaining sauce on top, and cover with the top of the burger.
