Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 roll(s) of pizza dough from the refrigerated section (400 g) or homemade
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 g gyros meat, seasoned (by the butcher), approx.
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, mixed or black, freshly ground
  • Oregano, dried
  • some lemon juice or lemon zest
  • 50 g olives, black, marinated in garlic, approx.
  • 50 g green olives marinated in spicy sauce, approx.
  • 100 g pepper, mild, pickled, approx.

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat) or 200°C (fan oven). Roll out the pizza dough with the paper on a baking sheet. Peel and chop the garlic cloves. Heat the olive oil in a large pan and fry the gyro meat for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally. Mix in the chopped garlic and season with about a pinch of cinnamon powder. Finely dice the feta. Season the sour cream with a little salt, pepper, and a little lemon juice or zest, mix, and spread over the pizza dough. Spread the gyro meat on top, top with the olives and pepperoni, and sprinkle with the feta cubes. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Serve sprinkled with oregano.
