Gyro Wraps

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 wraps (preferably Dürüm)
  • 300 g pork strips gyros style
  • n. B. Sambal Oelek
  • 1 cup coleslaw with carrots
  • 1 cup of tzatziki
  • ¼ cucumber(s)
  • 2 m.-large tomato(s)
  • ¼ iceberg lettuce

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Fry the pork strips in a pan. If you like it a little spicier, simply add a little of the sambal oelek towards the end of the frying. Mix together the tzatziki and coleslaw. Wash and dry the lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber. Quarter the cucumber and slice thinly. Cut the lettuce into thin strips. Halve the tomatoes, remove the stems, and slice thinly. Heat the wraps briefly in the microwave to make them easier to roll up afterwards. Spread the tzatziki and coleslaw mixture evenly over the wraps. Repeat with the lettuce strips, tomato slices, and cucumber slices. Finally, spread the pork strips evenly over the wraps and roll them up. To do this, fold about 3 cm of the dough from the bottom towards the middle and then roll up from the sides (this ensures nothing falls out at the bottom).
