Gyros, topped with a cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg meat, seasoned gyro meat
  • 1 ½ cups cream cheese spread
  • ½ cup processed cheese (herbs)
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Brown the gyros and place them in a casserole dish. Heat the cream and melted cheese in a saucepan; do not let it boil! Pour the cheese sauce over the gyros and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the oven at 180°C until the cheese is lightly browned. Serve with the following: baguette, rice, mixed salad, or tzatziki.
