Ingredients
 

  • 300 g Sliced ​​gyros
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 150 Gamm Grated cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • 300 Milliliters Cream
  • 1 Cup Basmati rice
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 1 Knife point Salt, pepper, oregano
  • 50 Milliliters Metaxa

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the gyros and fry for about 5-7 minutes. Then remove the meat from the pan.
  • Brown the tomato paste very briefly in the same pan. Deglaze with the metaxa and the cream. Season to taste with the spices. Let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Put the gyros with the Metaxa cream sauce in a greased baking dish and put in the oven (200 ° C). After 10 minutes, sprinkle the casserole with the cheese and again in the oven for 10 minutes.
