Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g Habanero peppers
- 1 gr. can/n fruit cocktail Asia, 820 g
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 2 garlic cloves, Chinese
- 3 lemons, juice of which
- 3 tsp salt
- 2 tsp coriander powder,
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 250 ml vinegar
- 1 liter of water
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Finely chop the onions and garlic and sauté in coconut oil, then deglaze with water. Roughly chop the habanero peppers and add them to the onions. Add all ingredients to the pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 40 minutes. Purée the mixture very finely with an immersion blender and simmer for another 10 minutes. While the sauce is still hot, pour it into jars. It keeps well and can be used for marinating, refining dishes, or as a dip, hot or cold.
