Ham and Cheese Casserole

The perfect ham and cheese casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Baguette
  • 4 Discs Boiled ham
  • 4 Discs Mountain cheese
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 Clove of garlic, if you like
  • 250 g Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • Salt pepper
  1. Preheat the oven to 225 ° C (fan oven: 200 ° C). Halve the baguette horizontally, then cut each side into 4 equal pieces. Halve the ham and cheese slices. Wash tomatoes and cut into 4 slices each. Peel the garlic, chop finely. Mix the creme fraiche, half of the cream and garlic, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place 2 pieces of baguette each in a small baking dish (portion form) or in a correspondingly large baking dish.
  3. Drizzle the baguette pieces with the rest of the cream and top with ham, cheese and tomatoes. Pour the cream and creme fraiche mix over it and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
  4. Serve immediately. Mixed lettuce tastes good with it.
