Ham and leek rolls in cream sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 leeks
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 15 cocktail tomatoes
  • 2 packs of Black Forest ham, 200 g
  • 3 cups of cream (200 g each)
  • 600 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Wash the leek and cut into approximately 8 cm long pieces. Cook the pieces in the vegetable stock, but do not allow them to become too soft, as they will be finished cooking in the oven later. Drain the leek and reserve the vegetable stock. Let everything cool slightly. Wrap each leek with two slices of Black Forest ham and place in a baking dish. Arrange the cherry tomatoes in the baking dish as well. Now cut the remaining ham and the rest of the leek into thin strips and sauté in the pan with the margarine. Once everything is nicely sautéed, add about 2 tablespoons of flour and deglaze with the cream and vegetable stock. Season to taste with pepper, salt, and nutmeg. Pour the sauce over the ingredients in the baking dish, sprinkle with the grated cheese, and bake at 180°C (fan oven) for about 30 minutes. I like to serve this with potatoes, whether boiled or fried.
