Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 packs of puff pastry
- 500 g mushrooms
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 30 g butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- some pepper
- some lemon juice
- some cornstarch
- 300 g ham
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Glaze the onion in butter, add the not-too-thinly sliced mushrooms, season, and toss briefly. Thicken with cornstarch and let cool. Roll out the puff pastry and cover with ham. Spread the mushroom mixture on top, wrap it in the dough, and brush with egg. Place the rolled strudel on a baking sheet with the seam facing down and cut a crosswise slit in the top with a knife. Let it rest for a while, then bake thoroughly at 200°C.
