Baked potato dumplings

Prepare the potato dumplings according to the package instructions, but let them rest for 5 minutes less. Mix the chopped tomatoes with the cream, season with thyme, basil, salt, and pepper. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Rinse the dumplings, remove them from the boil-in-the-bag, and wrap each one with a slice of ham. Secure the ham with toothpicks. Brown them in a pan and place them in a small baking dish. Sear the cherry tomatoes in the pan until crisp and add them to the dumplings. Pour the sauce over them and top with cheese. Bake in the oven at 190 degrees Celsius for 20 to 30 minutes. The dumplings can also be served without the ham as a side dish, for example with poultry.
