Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 1 bread roll, soaked
- Water for soaking
- 350 g minced meat, mixed
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion(s)
- 500 ml meat broth or vegetable broth, instant
- 2 tbsp flour
- 8 tbsp condensed milk
- 4 tbsp applesauce
- 3 tsp curry
- Salt and pepper, white
- some sugar

Asian curry meatballs
To make the dumplings, squeeze out the soaked bread roll. Mix with the minced meat, egg, salt, pepper, and peeled, finely diced onion to form a meat dough. Let it rest. For the sauce, heat the oil in a pan. Add the peeled, diced onion and cook until translucent. Pour in the meat broth. Mix the flour with the condensed milk. Thicken the broth with this and stir in the applesauce. Season with salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar, and curry powder. Simmer gently for 5 minutes. Scoop dumplings from the meat dough using a tablespoon. Drop them into the sauce. Let them simmer for a good 20 minutes, but do not boil. Serve with basmati rice.
