Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 75 g sugar
  • 500 g flour
  • 75 g butter, melted
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 g butter for butter flakes
  • 100 g sugar for the topping
  • n. B. almond flakes

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

For the pre-dough, mix yeast, a little sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and 10 tablespoons of milk. Let it rise for about 20 minutes. Put the flour in a bowl and add the pre-dough. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over it and add the remaining milk. Knead well. Let it rise for about 40 minutes. Roll out on a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 200-225°C (gas mark 4-5). Use your thumb to make small indentations in the dough and place a knob of butter in each indentation. Sprinkle with sugar and flaked almonds. Bake for about 30 minutes.
