Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 200 g margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 150 g sugar
  • 50 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g chocolate shavings
  • 5 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • Hazelnuts, whole
  • 50 g chocolate glaze

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours

Makes 100 cookies. Sift the flour and baking powder onto a work surface. Add the margarine, sugar, egg, and vanilla sugar and knead everything into a dough. Chill. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4 mm, cut out wavy cookies, and place them on a baking sheet. For the topping, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold in the sugar, nuts, grated chocolate, and bitter almond oil. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a perforated nozzle and pipe small dots onto the cookies. Decorate with a whole hazelnut and bake at 180°C for 10-15 minutes. Decorate the cooled cookies with chocolate icing.
