Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g sugar
  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g hazelnuts, whole kernels
  • 4 packs of cake icing (hazelnut icing)

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 17 minutes

Combine the flour, ground nuts, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Add the butter or margarine (cut into pieces) and the egg. Quickly knead with a dough hook until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes. Form the dough into walnut-sized balls with your hands and roll them into logs on the work surface. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and press three hazelnuts into each log. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 12 minutes. Let cool and then glaze.
