Heart Puzzle Cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 200 g margarine
  • 300 g flour
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g powdered sugar
  • Food coloring, red
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 200 g white chocolate coating
  • 50 g coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 5 drops of food coloring, red
  • Sugar sprinkles, for decoration (pearls, hearts, balls, confetti, sprinkles)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Knead all the dough ingredients until smooth, place in a freezer bag or wrap in cling film, and let rest in the refrigerator for one hour. Cut a heart-shaped piece of paper (approx. 15×15 cm) with a broken line down the middle and cut in half. If you have a heart-shaped cookie cutter in the shape of a heart puzzle, use that. Roll out the dough between a piece of baking paper (important: if using baking paper, first roll it out on a freezer bag) and a freezer bag to a thickness of approx. 2-3 mm and cut out the hearts. Remove the dough from all sides. Since the cookies will stay on the baking paper, roll out the dough so that both the paper and the dough are used efficiently. Place the baking paper on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for approx. 8-10 minutes, remove and let cool. Mix the powdered sugar with the butter and 1 tablespoon of water to form a thick, creamy mixture. Adjust to your taste. You can also use raspberry, currant, or strawberry juice. Or melt the chocolate with the coconut oil, color it, and spread it over the cookies. Decorate with the sugar decorations. Then put the two halves together.
