Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 700 g apples
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 40 g margarine, for baking
- 50 g sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 150 ml milk, preferably with 1.5% fat
- 125 g whole grain oat flakes
- 20 g cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Fat, for the shape
- 2 large eggs

Tastes especially good with vanilla sauce
Peel, core, and slice the apples, and drizzle with lemon juice. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Place soft margarine in a bowl. Add the egg yolks, sugar, cinnamon, milk, oats, cornstarch, and baking powder and mix well. Fold 3/4 of the apples and the beaten egg whites into the mixture. Transfer everything to a greased baking dish and garnish with the remaining apple slices. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (Gas Mark 3) for about 45 minutes.
