Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 16 eggs
- 1 ½ liters of water
- 60 g salt
- 60 g sugar
- ½ tbsp mustard seeds
- 2 small chili peppers
- ½ tbsp black pepper
- ½ tsp caraway seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 lemon(s), unpeeled
- ½ bunch parsley
- ½ bunch tarragon
- ½ bunch of dill
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes
Boil eggs hard. Bring water to a boil with mustard seeds, bay leaves, salt, sugar, chili peppers, pepper, caraway seeds, and lemon slices. Let cool. Lightly tap the eggshells on all sides, place the eggs in a large jar. Add herbs and pour the liquid over everything. Marinate for 24 hours.
