  • 220 g sugar
  • 2 packets of pudding powder (vanilla)
  • 130 g flour
  • 1 kg whipped cream
  • 100 g sugar
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 400 g marzipan
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • n. B. Food coloring (red and yellow)
  • n. B. dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 hours; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 14 hours 20 minutes

also applies to all other anime and manga characters

Filling Part 1: Heat two cups of cream in a saucepan (do not boil!) and dissolve the 200g of chocolate in it. Chill overnight. Sponge cake base: Beat egg whites until frothy, then add the sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Beat the egg yolks until frothy, mix the custard powder with the flour, and fold into the egg yolks. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Spread the batter on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven (top/bottom heat: 200°C, fan: 180°C) for about 20 minutes. Let the batter cool, then cut out two Kitty shapes with a knife. (If you can’t do it by hand, you can google a “Hello Kitty” image, print it out on A4 paper, and use it as a template.) This works best if the sponge cake was baked the day before. Filling Part 2: Beat the remaining cream with the sugar until stiff peaks form. Whip the cooled chocolate cream as well. Then mix the chocolate cream into the whipped cream. Spread about half of it on the first kitty template. Then place the second kitty template on top and spread more cream on top. Decoration: Knead the marzipan with powdered sugar and roll it out between two cut-open freezer bags or similar. Then cut out a kitty. Color a small section of marzipan red (for the bow) and some yellow for the nose. Next, place the marzipan kitty on the cake and press a marzipan border onto the sides. Now all that’s left to do is glue the bow and nose into place (this works really well with chocolate coating) and draw the kitty’s face. The kitty is finished.
