Hemp Oil: Effect, Application And Ingredients Of The Natural Product

Hemp seed oil is a delicious edible oil that is said to have certain health effects. You can find out exactly what effect hemp oil has and how you can use it in the kitchen here.

Does hemp oil have a health effect?

Hemp products are trendy and hemp oil, in particular, is said to have numerous health benefits. First of all, however, the risk of confusion with CBD oil should be ruled out. Hemp oil is offered as a normal food, for example, to prepare salad dressings. CBD oil, on the other hand, is marketed as a medicinally effective preparation that is used, for example, to treat insomnia. Where CBD oil has an effect, hemp oil has none – this is important to know. The reason is the cannabinoid content: hemp oil, which is obtained from the seeds and not from the leaves and flowers of the plant like CBD products, is usually almost free of them. Like tea tree oil or scented oils, CBD oil can be bought in small bottles, hemp oil in larger ones with 250 ml or more. Despite these serious differences, the terms are often used synonymously. So if there is talk of an effect of hemp oil on sleep, CBD oil is actually meant.

Internal and external use and effects of hemp oil

Nevertheless, hemp oil also has an effect on health. It contains valuable unsaturated fatty acids that help maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. A stimulating effect of hemp oil on the metabolism, however, has not been proven and may not be advertised on products. And what about external use? Hemp oil is said to have a nourishing effect on skin and hair. Like other natural oils, you can also use hemp oil as a beauty product here, but coconut oil, olive oil or argan oil are the more common choices here. In short: Nothing speaks against the use of hemp oil in the kitchen or as a care product, but no miracles are to be expected either. You can safely save the money for expensive hemp oil capsules with an effect on all possible ailments. It is better to buy a high-quality hemp oil to enrich your diet.

Recipe ideas for hemp oil

Due to the slightly nutty, aromatic taste, hemp oil is perfect for dressing salads. Raw vegetables, pestos, sauces, or spreads also benefit from it. It is important that you do not heat hemp oil or only heat it very little so as not to reduce the effect of the healthy ingredients. Unsaturated fatty acids do not tolerate high temperatures. A dash of hemp oil in a smoothie, yoghurt, quark, or soup adds the finishing touch to many recipes, and it can also be used to refine homemade energy bars. Just try it out, regardless of the effect, hemp oil is simply delicious!
