Herbal Pancake Rolls with Smoked Salmon

The perfect herbal pancake rolls with smoked salmon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Filling:

  • 300 ml Milk
  • 200 g Flour
  • Salt pepper
  • 3 tbsp Garden herbs
  • Oil for frying
  • 130 g Sour cream
  • 120 g Cream cheese
  • 1,5 tbsp Horseradish from the jar
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 400 g Smoked salmon
  • 0,5 Organic lemon, zest
  • Salad as desired

Pancakes:

  1. Whisk eggs and milk. Gradually stir in the flour. Season with salt and pepper and fold in the herbs. Let rest for about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 60 °. Bake 4 large pancakes lightly in a large pan in 2 tablespoons of oil from the batter. Always place them on a plate with a layer of kitchen paper and keep them warm in the oven.

Filling:

  1. Mix the sour cream, cream cheese, horseradish, pepper, salt and chilli well. Brush the slightly warm pancakes with it and top with the salmon. Roll up and return to the warm oven until ready to serve. Then sprinkle with the lemon zest later. Serve the rest of the sour cream as a dip.
  2. We had a salad of baby leaf spinach, red chard, bell pepper and tomatoes with a fruity orange juice dressing.
