Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 350 g flour (wheat flour)
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 point yeast (dry yeast)
- 1 egg(s)
- 100 g butter, soft
- 100 ml milk
- 1 cup(s) dough (Hermann dough)
- 1 cup(s) raisins
- 1 egg yolk
- Sugar (granulated sugar)
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
For the dough, combine the flour and yeast. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, butter, milk, and Hermann’s yeast and knead everything into a dough. Knead in the raisins and candied fruit. Cover the dough and set it in a warm place until it has visibly increased in size. Then transfer it to a loaf pan and let it rise briefly again. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for about 50 minutes at 180°C. This bread also bakes very well in a bread maker. I put all the ingredients in the bread maker and bake it like wheat bread.
