Herring Fillet with Housewife Sauce and Jacket Potato Triplets
The perfect herring fillet with housewife sauce and jacket potato triplets recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 180 g 1 Packung Premium-Matjesfilets 180 g Nordische Art mit Hausfrauensauce
- 75 g Housewife sauce
- 50 g 1 Zwiebel
- 450 g Triplets / 12 pieces (small, waxy potatoes)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Whole caraway seeds
- 1 tsp Ground turmeric
- 2 Small cucumbers
- 2 Small vine tomatoes
- Peel the onion, cut into slices and assemble in rings. Wash the potatoes (triplets) and cook them in salted water (1 teaspoon salt) with ground turmeric (1 teaspoon) and whole caraway seeds (1 teaspoon) for about 20 minutes, drain, allow to cool a little and peel off. Serve herring fillets (2 pieces each) with onion rings, housewife sauce and jacket potato triplets, each garnished with a tomato (2 halves) and a small cucumber.
