- 5 potatoes, boiled

- 4 beetroot, cooked
- 2 apples
- 1 gherkin(s) or pickled cucumber
- 100 g meat, cooked or sausage in small cubes
- 1 small onion(s), grated
- Pepper, white
- Parsley

- 100 ml cream
- Sugar
- Vinegar

The herring (possibly soaked) is gutted, skinned, and boned. All ingredients are cut into small cubes, mixed, and seasoned. Serve with spicy whipped cream.
