Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 kg potatoes, mainly waxy
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 350 g smoked Mettwurst
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp, heaped flour
  • some salt
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Grate the peeled potatoes and dice the onion into small cubes, or coarsely grate both in a food processor. Slice the Mettwurst sausage. Mix all three ingredients together with the eggs and flour, and season with salt. Preheat the oven to 200-220 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat). Add a little oil to a roasting pan or casserole dish and heat until hot. Pour in the potato mixture and bake at 200-220 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) for about 1 hour. Serve with homemade apple puree.
