Liver from the oven

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g liver(s) (preferably veal liver)
  • Flour for breading
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Line a baking tray with baking paper (folding up the edges slightly) and brush with oil. Preheat the oven to 200°C fan/convection oven. Wash the liver and dry thoroughly, then cut into 3-4 cm wide strips. Coat the liver strips in flour and shake well, place on the baking tray, and then put in the oven. Turn once after 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, the liver is cooked through but still nice and tender. If you prefer it a little bloodier, you can simply shorten the cooking time a bit. Season the liver after it’s cooked. We always serve it with mashed potatoes and fried, slightly caramelized onions and apples.
