Homemade Baked Rice

The perfect homemade baked rice recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 125 g Rice pudding
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla sugar
  • 1,5 tsp Brown rum
  • 1 Pulp of a vanilla pod
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 Apples
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon
  • 100 g Chopped almonds
  • 0,5 Glass Sour cherries
  1. Let the milk rice swell with the milk according to the instructions on the package, add a pinch of salt. In the meantime, the rice pudding is cooling down, peel and grate the two apples and mix with the rest of the ingredients except the eggs.
  2. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites. Mix the egg yolks with the cooled rice pudding.
  3. Mix the apple mixture and the rice pudding and carefully fold in the egg whites.
  4. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Put the mixture in the baking dish and bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C top / bottom heat for 40 minutes.
