Homemade fries

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 potatoes
  • Salt
  • Seasoning mix (French fries seasoning)
  • possibly curry powder
  • e.g. fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

First, wash the potatoes, then peel and wash them again. Cut the potatoes into strips with a sharp knife, like store-bought fries. Set the deep fryer to 100°C and cook the fries for about 12 minutes, until they are nice and soft. Then set the deep fryer to 170°C and fry the fries for another 15 minutes (until they are well browned). Then season generously with salt or fries seasoning. I always add a little curry powder, which is also delicious.
