  • 250 g oat flakes
  • 30 g flaxseed, crushed
  • 100 g mixed nuts
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp wheat bran

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 22 minutes

also crunchy muesli

Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Chop the mixed nuts and sunflower seeds with a knife or in a blender. Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Add the honey and sunflower oil and mix well. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the oat mixture evenly. Place the sheet in the oven. The granola now requires your full attention. Stir every 5 minutes to ensure it browns evenly. I left my granola in the oven for 12 minutes and stirred twice. A lot can happen in 5 minutes, so stay with it and monitor the baking process. Once it’s the desired brownness, remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely. It won’t be hard yet, but that will happen as it cools. You can add the following ingredients after it has cooled: dried fruit, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, cinnamon, or a spice of your choice.
