Homemade hot mustard

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g mustard powder (organic or health food store)
  • 5 tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp honey
  • 200 ml water
  • 150 ml vinegar (wine vinegar)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Bring the wine vinegar to a boil, add the mustard flour and the other ingredients, and stir until a paste forms. If you like it spicy, you can add a bit of freshly ground pepper. Pour the mixture into hot, rinsed, screw-top jars and let them stand upside down for a few minutes. If you decorate the jars nicely, you’ll always have a small souvenir on hand.
