Homemade orange ice cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 orange(s), untreated
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice
  • possibly pistachios

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

Rinse the oranges thoroughly under hot water and then dry them. Finely grate the zest and squeeze out the juice. Combine the orange juice and zest with the sugar and honey in a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar and honey have dissolved. Transfer everything to a freezer container and freeze for about 4 hours. Blend thoroughly with an immersion blender before serving. I top with chopped pistachios, but that’s a matter of taste.
