Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 4 half baguette(s), small
- 1 can of pizza tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 10 cherry tomatoes
- 2 small bell peppers
- 5 Pepper, pickled, medium hot
- 1 can/n pineapple pieces
- 200 g cheese (gratin or pizza cheese)
- salt and pepper
- Cayenne pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
- Herbs, Italian
- some sugar, brown
- n. B. Salami, spicy, approx. 50 to 80 g
- n. B. Serrano ham, approx. 50 to 80 g
- 1 small onion(s), red
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
It doesn’t always have to be frozen food
Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Wash or trim the vegetables. Slice the tomatoes, finely chop the bell peppers and chili peppers, and finely strip the onion. Chop the salami and ham. Chop the garlic cloves. Heat a little oil in a pan. Add the canned tomatoes, spices, and garlic, stir, heat, and season to taste. Spread the sauce on the baguette halves. Top the baguette halves as desired. Of course, sprinkle generously with cheese. Our versions are “Hawaii” with ham, pineapple, and optionally chili peppers, and “Diavolo” with salami, chili peppers, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, and onion. Bake in a hot oven for about 10 minutes.
