Homemade purple blossom sugar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 tbsp xylitol (sugar substitute)
  • 5 tbsp flowers (mallow flowers)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

for yogurt, quark and cakes

Chop the fresh mallow blossoms into small pieces. Place them in a blender with the sugar and blend briefly. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread evenly. Dry in the oven for at least 1 hour at 35–40°C with the oven door slightly ajar. Allow to cool and briefly return to the blender. Transfer to a screw-top jar and seal tightly. Use as a decoration or to add a splash of color to yogurt and quark with a light floral scent.
