Honey parsnips English style

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g parsnip(s)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp water, warm
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 pinch(s) black pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel and quarter the parsnips. Place them in boiling water and cook until al dente. Remove the parsnips from the water and place them on a baking sheet, brush with oil, and bake in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius until light brown. Depending on your oven, this will take about 15-20 minutes. Mix the honey with the warm water in a cup. Remove the parsnips from the oven and brush with the honey, then sprinkle with black pepper. Bake in the oven for another 5-10 minutes. Be careful not to burn the parsnips. Tip: You can also use carrots instead of parsnips.
