like my grandma’s, makes about 60 cookies

Melt the honey, sugar, milk, and butter in a hot saucepan, transfer to a mixing bowl, and chill. Once the mixture has cooled, add the spices, 2/3 of the sifted flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and baking powder. Knead in the remaining flour and the almonds. If the dough is still sticky, add a little more flour. Roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick and cut out cookies using cookie cutters. I always use a round cutter with a diameter of 4 cm. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Don’t place the cookies too close together, as they will spread slightly. Bake in an oven preheated to 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 6-7 minutes on the middle rack. This dough will make about 60 cookies.
