Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 100 ml ketchup
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp cane sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 frankfurters
  • 2 rolls (hot dog buns)
  • 2 tsp jalapeño(s) or pickles

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Slice the onion into rings and sauté briefly in a pan. Then add ketchup and the remaining seasonings. Simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the sausages and hot dog buns and keep warm. Cut open the buns and place the sausages inside. Spread generously with the sauce and garnish with the green jalapeños.
