Hot Plate Beef

The perfect hot plate beef recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Beef
  • 2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 0,5 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Chopped garlic
  • 6 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp Water
  • 3 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 piece Spring onions
  • Oil for frying
  1. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic and ginger
  2. Deglaze with the soy sauce and water.
  3. Add the brown sugar and cook for about 2 – 3 minutes until the sauce thickens
  4. Remove the pan from the heat
  5. Cut the beef into thin strips, sprinkle with cornstarch and leave to rest for about 10 minutes
  6. Heat a cup of oil in a pan or wok and sear the meat for about 2 minutes
  7. Skim off the meat with a sieve spoon and degrease on kitchen paper and dispose of the oil from the pan
  8. Put the pan back on the stove and put the meat back in for about 1 minute
  9. Top up with the sauce and cook for another two minutes
  10. Now add the chopped spring onion
  11. Let cook for another minute and skim off the meat and onions using a sieve spoon.
  12. The sauce is served separately
  13. We like it best with simple steamed rice
  14. Good hunger!
