Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 ml milk 3.5%
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 25 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Steamed dumplings, in the steamer in the microwave

Heat the milk and melt the butter. Whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the flour, milk, butter, and egg to a food processor and knead for 5 minutes using the dough hook. Place the dough in a bowl and set it in a warm place. Cover with a towel and let it rise for 1 hour. After 1 hour, knead the dough again and form 6 balls. Place the balls in the Tupperware steamer, ensuring they fill it well. Microwave the steamer at 400 watts for 30-40 minutes. Serve the steamed dumplings with bacon, Mettwurst sausages, pears, and vanilla sauce.
