Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 stale roll
  • Water, cold for soaking
  • 3 onions, approx. 150 g
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp, heaped flour
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 1 medium-sized bell pepper(s) (125 g), diced
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Soak the bread roll, squeeze out the excess liquid, and tear it apart. Chop an onion. Mix both with the next 6 ingredients. Form the mixture into 12 sausages, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of flour, fry in 4 tablespoons of oil, and remove. Add the remaining oil to the pan, sauté the finely diced bell pepper and the remaining thinly sliced ​​onion for 5 minutes. Stir in the remaining flour, whisk in the stock and tomato paste, and cook for 5 minutes. Add the minced sausages and let them simmer for about 10 minutes. Serve with rice or pasta.
