Ice cream with peanut flakes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 ml whipped cream or soy cream
  • 400 ml milk (whole milk) or soy milk
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g cereal (peanut flakes), coated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 30 minutes

Mix together the cream, milk, and vanilla sugar. Using a whisk or hand mixer, stir in the powdered sugar. Now add the peanut flakes to the still-liquid mixture and stir vigorously again. Pour the liquid into a tightly sealed, freezer-safe container and place it in the freezer. From here, you’ll need a little patience, as it will take a few hours for the mixture to solidify. Stir with a fork, for example, every two hours or so. This will help the ice cream freeze more evenly and stay creamy. Your homemade ice cream will be ready in half a day to a day. Note: I recommend using chocolate-covered flakes, as otherwise they will soften and become mushy. Alternatively, you can let the ice cream freeze and then add the flakes.
