Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 150 g natural yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 cm ginger, fresh
  • 2 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 35 minutes

Rinse the chicken breast fillet, pat dry, and cut into large pieces. Peel the ginger and grate it very finely; an apple grater works well here. In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lemon juice, turmeric, garam masala, ginger, chili flakes, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to form a marinade. Cover the chicken pieces in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Then remove the meat from the marinade, thread it onto 8 skewers, and cook thoroughly in a grill pan or on the grill.
