Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour (extracted flour)
  • 250 g flour (whole wheat flour)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 30 g butter
  • 300 ml buttermilk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sift salt, baking soda, and flour into a large bowl. Spread the butter flakes over the flour, make a well in the flour, and pour in the buttermilk. Using a wooden spoon, mix the ingredients into a soft dough. Transfer to a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Form into a round loaf 15 cm in diameter and 5 cm thick. Dust with flour and cut crosswise into the loaf 2 cm deep. Bake for about 35 minutes, until it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. Baking temperature: 200°C Baking time: approx. 35 minutes
