Italian chicken drumsticks

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken legs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small can of tomatoes
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 small jar of mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • Sauce thickener, darker, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash the chicken thighs and dry them with kitchen paper. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and dust with flour. Heat the olive oil and sear the thighs well on both sides. Deglaze with water, add the canned tomatoes, and season with oregano. Cover and simmer for about 30-40 minutes, depending on the size of the thighs. Chicken drumsticks should always be thoroughly cooked. Thicken the sauce with a dark sauce thickener, if desired, and bring back to a boil. Add the drained mushrooms and heat through. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Rice and a green salad go well with this dish.
