Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped or squeezed
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 stalk(s) celery, finely sliced
  • 1 zucchini, finely diced
  • 1 bell pepper(s) (yellow), diced
  • 2 tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 tsp dried Italian spices
  • 3 raw sausages, formed into balls
  • 250 ml vegetable stock, seasoned
  • 2 cans of tomatoes, diced with juice (400 ml)
  • Parmesan, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

This recipe is designed for a 3.5 L CrockPot (CP). First, add the onion and oil to the CP and mix with the oil. Then layer the above ingredients (except the Parmesan) in the CP in the order listed above. Cover. Cooking time is approximately 4 hours on high or 5 to 5.5 hours on medium. This dish can be stirred 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Serve sprinkled with Parmesan.
