Jenny's wholemeal spelled bread with sunflower seeds

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 760 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 2 tsp agave syrup or honey
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 500 ml water, lukewarm
  • 150 g sunflower seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Combine all ingredients, except the seeds, in a mixing bowl. Cover with a clean cloth and let rest for 30 minutes. Then, using a dough hook, knead the dough until sticky. Add the seeds. Let the dough rest for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 250°C (convection oven). Pour the dough into a loaf pan and place it in the oven. Bake for 10 minutes at 250°C, then reduce the temperature to 150°C (300°F) and bake for another 50 minutes. Let the bread cool in the loaf pan, then turn it out.
