  • 1 kg Raw smoked Kasseler
  • 1 kg Sauerkraut
  • 3 Cloves
  • 6 Black peppercorns
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 250 ml Vegetable broth
  • Mustard

Instructions
 

  • Put the sauerkraut in a saucepan and fill up with the broth. Peel the onion and stick the cloves in the onion. Now add the onion, peppercorns, bay leaves and sugar and bring to the boil. Now cut the Kasseler into slices and add to the sauerkraut. Now let the whole simmer gently for 60 minutes. Season the sauerkraut again. We had mashed potatoes with it. Bon Appetit.
