Kasseler Pan

The perfect kasseler pan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Triplets
  • 1 small Zucchini
  • 6 Cherry date tomatoes
  • 1 size Onion
  • 200 g Kasseler
  • Oil
  • 50 ml White wine
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 100 ml Milk or cream
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard grainy
  • Pepper
  1. Wash the potatoes and cook in salted boiling water for about 15 minutes, drain and cut in half.
  2. Wash the vegetables well, cut the tomatoes in half, slice the zucchini, peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
  3. Now wash off the smoked pork, pat dry, cut into cubes and fry all around in a pan with hot oil, remove.
  4. Now put the potatoes in the pan and stir-fry for about 10 minutes until golden, shortly before the end of the roasting time, add the zucchini and the remaining onions.
  5. Finally fold in the smoked pork and tomatoes, season with salt and pepper
  6. For the sauce, sauté half of the onions in a saucepan with hot oil, deglaze with the wine and simmer a little.
  7. Stir in the milk (cream), mustard and vinegar, season with salt and pepper.
  8. Arrange the smoked pork on a plate and serve some sauce.
