Kassler with Sauerkraut

The perfect kassler with sauerkraut recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Sauerkraut
  • 600 g Kassler
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 4 Peppercorns
  • 3 Juniper berries
  1. Put the sauerkraut in a saucepan, add 50 ml of water, bay leaves, peppercorns and juniper berries. Bring to the boil, then place the smoked pork on top and let simmer for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves, peppercorns and juniper berries before serving. Mashed potatoes tastes good with it
