Kassler with Sauerkraut
The perfect kassler with sauerkraut recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Sauerkraut
- 600 g Kassler
- 2 Bay leaves
- 4 Peppercorns
- 3 Juniper berries
- Put the sauerkraut in a saucepan, add 50 ml of water, bay leaves, peppercorns and juniper berries. Bring to the boil, then place the smoked pork on top and let simmer for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves, peppercorns and juniper berries before serving. Mashed potatoes tastes good with it
