Convenient keto snacks for on the go
You are not always at home when you get hungry. That’s why you should always have a small snack ready for when you’re on the go.
- A hard-boiled egg is easy to carry in a backpack or bag. Pack another sachet of mayonnaise – the delicious snack is perfect.
- Even a handful of nuts can quickly be accommodated and taken with you. Macadamia nuts, Brazil nuts, and almonds are ideal for the ketogenic diet. When choosing the type of nut, you should pay attention to the carbohydrates.
- You can easily make zucchini chips yourself and store them in the glove compartment of your car as a low-carb snack.
- If you don’t feel too hungry, water is also an ideal keto snack. Incidentally, this also applies if you have a low point during the day. Water boosts metabolism.
- Take a keto coffee to go from home. There is a wide range of containers for this and the keto coffee bridges the feeling of hunger well. Keto coffee is also quick to make: simply stir a teaspoon of fat, such as butter, into the coffee.
For a little hunger at home: ketogenic nutrition for in between
At home, of course, you have a larger selection of ketogenic snacks.
- An avocado is the quintessential keto snack—and it doesn’t require any preparation. Just sprinkle a little salt on top and you’re done.
- Counter hunger pangs with a cucumber. The vegetables are very low in carbohydrates and calories. The reason for this is that cucumbers are mostly made up of water. Together with cream cheese, it makes a delicious snack.
- Bread is not usually on the ketogenic menu. You can prepare an appetizing substitute for a sandwich using lettuce. Take two large lettuce leaves and pack whatever you feel like doing between them: hard-boiled egg, cheese, ham, tomato, and mayonnaise – and you’ll be hungry quickly.
- If you fancy something warm, then pepper bacon rings are just the thing for you. Cut pepper into rings and remove the inside of the pepper. Now wrap a slice of bacon around each ring and place the finished pepper rings in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. The snack tastes both warm and cold.
- Cottage cheese is a healthy and ketogenic snack that fills you up quickly. Combine the cheese with fresh berries and add a little stevia for a sweet treat.
