Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g yogurt, neutral
- ½ cup(s) flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion(s) (vegetable onion)
- 2 tbsp oil

Yogurt soup from Egypt
Blend the yogurt with a mixer until smooth. Gradually (and very slowly!) add the flour while whisking continuously. Then slowly mix in the cold (!) chicken stock. Heat the oil in a pan and gently brown the finely diced onion. Heat the yogurt soup over low heat, stirring constantly (important, otherwise the yogurt will curdle). After about five minutes, add half of the onions and continue to simmer over low heat until the soup thickens. Ladle into soup bowls and garnish with the remaining onions.
